Derniére Volonté - Devant Le Miroir (2006) Prends Ma Main Au Travers Des Lauriers Nos Chairs L’Eau Pure Douce Hirondelle Cran D’Arrét La Nuit Revient Mes Faiblesses L’Ombre Des Réverbéres Verbes Fragiles La Joie Devant La Mort Maître De Ma Peau Notes:  My friend Lizz came across this incredible album by chance on a music blog, and badgered me for weeks to listen to it, insisting that because I liked Patrick Wolf I would love it.  Massive fan of Patrick as I am, I was skeptical to say the least but when I finally listened I had to admit she was right on all counts.  In my mind Derniere Volonte is what Patrick Wolf might sound like were he French and into apocalyptic folk music.   A combination you would think to be awful but in fact is absolutely breathtaking, shimmering and romantic, I cannot say enough about this beautiful album, perfect from start to finish.
